Coordinate your travel and arrival plans with your sponsor or gaining unit before departing for Beale Air Force Base. Your sponsor can help confirm reporting instructions, transportation options, gate-access requirements and arrangements for arrival outside normal duty hours. 

Arriving by Air: 
Sacramento International Airport is the nearest major commercial airport. Ground transportation options to Beale and the surrounding area may include rental vehicles, airport shuttles, rideshare services, and taxis.  

Before arranging transportation to Beale, review the Beale Air Force Base Transportation flyer for transportation options and access requirements. Rideshare and taxi drivers are not automatically authorized to enter the installation. Coordinate with your sponsor, review the 9th SFS Visitor Pass Page for current visitor-access requirements, and follow all applicable procedures before requesting transportation to the base.

Driving to Beale 

Beale AFB is located in Northern California, east of Marysville and Yuba City and north of Sacramento. Use a current navigation application for directions and check current gate hours, located on the home page, before beginning travel. Gate operations, visitor-access procedures, and commercial vehicle inspection requirements may change. 

Commercial Vehicles 

The Commercial Vehicle Inspection Area is open Monday- Friday 6 a.m.- 4 p.m. For more information, call the 9th Security Forces Squadron at (530) 634-2131. 

Emergency or After-Hours Arrival

If an emergency occurs while traveling to Beale, contact your sponsor or gaining unit for assistance. If you are unable to reach your unit, contact the base operator and request connection to the appropriate installation support office.
