Upgrades to our travelers comfort Published Jan. 26, 2012 By Tech. Sgt. Marlo McLeod 9th Force Support Squadron BEALE AIR FORCE BASE, Calif., -- The Gold Country Inn, Beale Air Force Base, Calif., is committed to preserving the high quality of life of the Air Force traveler. Recognizing our facilities are a temporary private home, we strive to please and cheer our guests during their travels. Our most recent endeavors are reflected in buildings 24,176 and 24,177, visiting quarters that most frequently lodge our Air Force Combat Ammunitions Course students. These quarters are enjoyed by other guests when AFCOMAC isn't in session, and we recently participated in a $385,000 Non-Appropriated-Funds project funded by Headquarters Services Agency for upgrading these facilities. Our first upgrade is a new color scheme, the most evident way to improve interior space. The color scheme is a combination of blues and greens - incorporating window treatments, bed linens and carpet, as well as the upholstery of the new lounge chairs in our rooms. We believe the new colors will open the space and provide a more relaxing atmosphere. In addition to the new color scheme, we replaced full-sized beds with superior queen-size models. Our guests will enjoy relaxing in a larger bed while watching their favorite shows on the new, wall mounted, 32" HD LCD TV. To further improve the quality of the guest rooms we purchased new microwaves and desk chairs. We've also made upgrades to our communal guest areas. The kitchens in our quads received new flooring and window treatments, the living rooms have new carpeting and couches, reflecting the same color scheme as our rooms. We want our guest to be as comfortable and relaxed as possible, whether in their room or the shared living areas. It is our responsibility to provide guests with quality accommodations which meet or exceed adequacy standards set forth by the Air Force. The upgrade will assist us in providing the quality of service you deserve, and we sincerely hope you enjoy our upgrade and your stay with us. We cannot put a monetary value on our gratitude to you, the Air Force traveler, for the sacrifices you make for our great nation!
