National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month

September is National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. Team Beale is using this opportunity to highlight the importance of seeking help and to share vital information and resources with our service members and families.

Many individuals think about or attempt suicide. In 2023, Over 49,000 people died by suicide – one death every 11 minutes. 12.8 million seriously thought about suicide, 3.7 million planned for suicide, and 1.5 million attempted suicides, per the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Every member of the Beale community plays a vital role in suicide prevention. By recognizing warning signs, mitigating risks, and seeking help, we can all make a difference. Even a simple check-in can save a life. If you or someone you know needs help, please call or text 988 or go to 988lifeline.org
