BEALE AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- "Recently, my 8-year-old and 11-year-old daughters asked if there was a meaning to our last name. Where did it come from? Why is our name Lambert? I stared blankly back at them, I didn't know. My mom didn't know. My grandmother had no idea. After some research, I found out the name means, 'Bright land or light of the land' and my family was given that name during the time of slavery in the 1800s. I've been on a mission ever since to find out more about my family and it all started with a simple question from my daughters."
