More than 30 vendors setup shop for the Holiday Bazaar at the Community Activity Center at Beale Air Force Base Nov. 28. Merchants were selling seasonal and handmade gifts to members of Team Beale for the upcoming holiday season.

"This is something that we've been looking forward to all year," said Laura Luttrell, Community Activities Center Director. "We're really excited to have a lot of vendors from the local area."

Vendors from the surrounding counties of Beale Air Force Base were on hand to sell handmade gifts ranging from scarves to jewelry.

"I love it; I try to make it every year since I've heard about it," said Jane Leebeck, a vendor who sells handmade soaps. "I have a son in the Navy, so I jump at the chance to give a little back to our service men and women."

Members from Team Beale browsed through the many vendors selling one-of-a-kind gifts.

"All the vendors have been very friendly and very festive," said Maj. Chris Pewterbaugh, 7th Space Warning Squadron. "I've really enjoyed the shopping at the bazaar; I try to pick up an arts & crafts souvenir to remember every assignment and this [bazaar] was perfect to find that item."

Beale has hosted a Holiday Bazaar for the last five years and members at the Community Activities Center plan to continue the tradition.

"It was nice to give members of Team Beale the opportunity to shop for new and unique holiday gifts," said Luttrell. "It was also a great way for arts & crafts vendors to meet other vendors from around the local area."

"We look forward to having it again next year," she added.
