BEALE AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. --  "I love to draw. When I was a kid, my dad started challenging me to draw things. Every day when I came home from school he would have a drawing he did from a phone book advertisement and ask me, 'Can you draw that?' Then I would sit down to draw. I guess it was his way of bonding with me. When I was in high school, I started developing comic book characters based on people in my life. If you were someone who was significantly close to me, you got your own character."
