U-2 Dragon Lady relaunches at 9:01 this morning Published Sept. 23, 2016 9th Reconnaissance Wing Public Affairs BEALE AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- Beale Air Force Base has returned to normal flying operations since Tuesday, where a two-seater U-2 crashed in the Sutter Buttes near the installation. The time of 9:01 a.m. was chosen specifically for the 9th Reconnaissance Wing and 1st Reconnaissance Squadron, the unit which Lt. Col. Steve “Shooter” Eadie was assigned to. Today’s launch signifies the resiliency of Team Beale and how we move forward.
