Col. Larry Broadwell, 9th Reconnaissance Wing commander, held a commander's call July 22, 2016, at Beale Air Force Base, California to introduce himself and share his vision and priorities to Beale Airmen.

This commander’s call gave Airmen the opportunity to meet their new commander and ask questions ranging from installation improvements to the future of high-altitude intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR).

"We swore an oath, and our nation expects great things from us,” Broadwell said. “It’s your vision, it’s your wing, it’s your mission, it’s your base. I want you to own it, make it yours.”

Col. Broadwell explained the mission of the 9th RW, which is to deliver high-altitude ISR and combat power in support of national objectives. In addition he addressed his priorities, which are to execute the mission, develop and care for Airmen and their families and prepare for the future.

“I have a short time here, and I want to leave knowing I’ve made an impact on units, the base and their families,” Broadwell said.
