Adelan 9th Reconnaissance Wing Public Affairs BEALE AIR FORCE BASE, California -- More than 100 members of Team Beale gathered to celebrate and recognize its newest and select chief master sergeants March 3, 2016, at Beale Air Force Base, California. Four Airmen were inducted to the top one percent of the enlisted force structure and donned the rank of chief master sergeant. The Airmen are as follows: -Chief Master Sgt. Bobby J. Chittom, 9th Maintenance Group - Chief Master Sgt. Mark P. Jackson, 9th Munitions Squadron - Senior Master Sgt. Michael S. Kuhn, 9th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron - Senior Master Sgt. Joseph L. Wheeler, 9th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron “I’m grateful and humble to be recognized as the few who become a chief master sergeant,” Chief Master Sgt. Mark P. Jackson said. “I’m honored my superiors entrusted me to carry out the role as a chief master sergeant. We are at the pinnacle of our careers and we are here to offer our experience and service to our junior airmen.” The event included the Table of Honor ceremony, lighting of enlisted candles and the grand entrance of inductees through the saber guard. Guest speaker Chief Master Sgt. Randy Kwiatkowski, 9th Reconnaissance Wing command chief, shared his experience and asked questions for them to reflect on the type of chief they will become. “You’re probably thinking, ‘what do I do know?’” Kwiatkowski said. “I’d say the best thing you can do right now is turn around and make the journey back to the bottom and help another Airman find their way to the top. You have earned your distinction to be forever recognized as a chief master sergeant in our Air Force but there is an Airman out there somewhere who is earning their shot as well. They will need your guidance, your passion and your determination to help get them to where you are today.”
