Hero2Hired to host job fair Published Jan. 22, 2014 By Senior Airman Allen Pollard 9th Reconnaissance Wing Public Affairs BEALE AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- The Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program will be hosting two Hero2Hired job fair events to assist traditional reservist and guardsmen in obtaining employment. The events will take place at the 940th Wing Headquarters Jan. 24 to 27, and at the Base Exchange Jan. 31 to Feb. 2. There will be a H2H kiosk set up for members to use to interact with employers, all in a convenient online setting. The H2H job fair is designed to assist reserve force members in finding military-friendly companies who are looking for employees with specific training and skills. "H2H is a powerful tool for job seekers, with many innovative resources to help attain employment," said Capt. Joseph Simms, 940th Wing public affairs chief. "The (H2H.jobs website) offers job search features, tips and advice, a career assessment survey, a military-to-civilian skills translator and professional networking opportunities." The Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program is a Department of Defense wide effort to promote the well-being of Guard and Reservist members and their families by connecting them with resources throughout their deployment cycle.
