Trujillo 9th Reconnaissance Wing Public Affairs BEALE AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- Beale held an Honorary Commander Induction at the Peach Tree Golf & Country Club in Marysville, Calif., April 16. The Honorary Commander Program is public outreach program designed to increase the understanding of Air Force missions by pairing community leaders with wing, group and squadron leaders to forge lasting relationships. The program is co-managed by the Beale Military Liaison Group, a civilian organization with a longstanding partnership with the base. During their tenure, Honorary Commanders participate in events, learning details about the multiple aspects of the wing mission. Outside of formally organized events, Honorary Commanders participate in unit level commander's calls, base activities and other events to experience the day-to-day lives of Airmen. The ceremony formally inducted approximately 30 key community leaders into the program.
