More than 50 aspiring fishermen participated in Beale's 5th Annual Youth Fishing Derby held at Upper Blackwelder Lake, on Beale Air Force Base, Calif., April 18.

The Derby was sponsored by a local Prince Hall Masons chapter and the Beale Youth Center to give some of Beale's youth the opportunity to catch their first fish.

"It was simply wonderful," said Mr. TK Love, 9th Support Division government purchaser, who helped coordinate the event. "It was especially enjoyable for those who caught their first fish."

Prizes were awarded for the first fish, most fish and biggest fish.
