Staff Sgt. Jeffary M. Cartwright, stationed at Beale Air Force Base, Calif., was found guilty in a General Court Martial on July 2, 2014, for engaging in a sex act with two minors; communicating indecent language and conduct to the minors; and assault of a minor.

Cartwright was sentenced to a Bad Conduct Discharge, confinement for two years, total forfeitures of pay and allowances, and reduction to E-1.

"Sexual Assault cases are taken extremely seriously and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the Uniform Code of Military Justice," said Col. Douglas J. Lee, 9th Reconnaissance Wing commander. "This court martial sent a strong message to the base and local community that crimes of this nature will not be tolerated in the Air Force."
