Team Beale celebrates "Heritage and Heroes"

BEALE AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. --  Team Beale celebrated the Air Force's birthday with a "Heritage and Heroes" themed Air Force Ball held on Beale Air Force Base, Calif., Oct. 18, 2014.

More than 500 guests attended the event, which featured live music from the U.S. Air Force Band of the Golden West, aircraft static displays, and a tribute to past Airmen.

Maj. Gen. John Shanahan, 25th Air Force commander, was the guest speaker and said the event was a fitting culmination of his five-day visit.

"Every day I'm impressed with Beale and today is no exception," said Shanahan. "Team Beale truly represents the very best of the Air Force."
