The Combined Federal Campaign began for Team Beale Oct. 30, with a charity vendor fair held at Beale Air Force Base, Calif.

The mission of the CFC is to promote and support philanthropy through a program that is employee focused, cost-efficient, and effective in providing all federal employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for all.

Participants can donate to thousands of CFC-approved charities which range from local food pantries to international aid organizations. Employees may also visit the CFC website to download a searchable charities list.

"Beale has a history of being a high contributor to the campaign as part of the regional CFC Northern California, which services more than 40 counties," said Master Sgt, John Shaw, Beale's CFC manager. "Our goal this year is $105,000. We are set to make contact with everyone here on base, whether it is active duty, National Guard, Reserve, or civilian employees."

In addition, donations to the CFC can now be made from MyPay accounts. Participants can also organize a donation with keyworkers within their group or squadron.

Participants have the options to make a one-time donation or set an amount to be withdrawn from their paychecks. The campaign will run until Dec. 11.

"The biggest part of the CFC is that it brings so many charities under one umbrella for participants to choose from," Shaw said. "We have the opportunity to make a difference with every donation made."
