Contrails Inn Dining Facility wins Hennessy Award at ACC level

BEALE AIR FORCE BASE, Calif., --  The Contrails Inn Dining Facility was presented with the Hennessy Award for Air Combat Command Nov. 30, for outstanding food services.

Established in 1956, The Hennessy Award Program is an annual competition showcasing the best food service programs in the Air Force.

The program promotes excellence in customer service and meal quality. Additionally, it's designed to inspire high morale, motivation and a professional image through pride and competition.

"I'm very proud of my staff, they all worked very hard throughout the year," said Master Sgt. Turaeza Hose, 9th Force Support Squadron Food Service superintendent. "I told my staff with the right support and dedication you can achieve anything and being recognized as having the best dining facility in ACC is a big deal."

Several factors led to the dining facility's selection to be considered for the award including the food servicing program exhibiting excellence in management, force readiness support, food quality and cleanliness of the facilities, budget management and compliance with worldwide menus.

"It's great. We've worked hard for this award and have a great team," said Airman 1st Class Juan Avila Melchor 9th FSS food service specialist. "We're ready to take it at the next level."

The Contrails staff will be re-evaluated in early February of next year to compete at the Air Force level award.
