Team Beale's Combined Federal Campaign began Oct. 1, and the base set a goal of raising $103,000.

"Team Beale has a history of generosity," said Capt. Jordan Richardson, Beale's CFC manager. "Last year we raised more than $197,000."

CFC's mission is to support and promote philanthropy through a voluntary program that is employee-focused, cost efficient and effective in providing all federal employees the opportunity to aid and support charities. It is one of two charity drives officially recognized by the Air Force.

Participants can donate to thousands of CFC-approved charities which range from local food pantries to international aid organizations. Employees may also visit the CFC website to download a searchable charities list.

"Many of these charities have a direct impact locally," said Col. Phil Stewart, 9th Reconnaissance Wing commander. "Every contribution makes a difference."

Beale's campaign is part of the regional CFC Northern California (NORCAL) which services more than 40 counties. The charity drive is scheduled to continue through mid-November.

Federal employees have a variety of options for giving. They may choose to deduct a specified amount from each paycheck or give a one-time donation.
