Families supporting families Published July 12, 2013 By Staff Sgt. Robert M. Trujillo 9th Reconnaissance Public Affairs BEALE AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- The 9th Force Support Squadron with support from the Community Activities Center hosted its twice-a-year vendor fair at the CAC here July 11. Nearly 20 vendors lined the theater at the CAC to sell seasonal and handmade gifts. "We have items for the whole family," said Leah Weeks, 9th FSS recreational aid who helped with the event. Weeks said that all vendors at the fair were local and had either a military or Beale tie. "We have Air Force spouses, dependents and even some active duty personnel," week said. "It's a nice way to meet new military families and network." Some members of Team Beale shopped for new home décor. "My husband and I stopped by to find some artwork to put up in our home," said Airman 1st Class Gabriela Nunez. "We definitely enjoy the opportunity to support our local community." The 9th FSS also holds a holiday themed-vendor fair in November. "I think it's great for all parties," said Airman 1st Class Hannah Higgins, 9th FSS recreational aid. "It's military families supporting military families."
