Recce Town -

In partnership with our community partners and public health experts, we are closely monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation.  There have been no confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Beale AFB, and none in Yuba and Sutter Counties.  However, consistent with a number of other counties in California, Yuba and Sutter Counties have declared a state of emergency.  This proactive measure will help them secure resources necessary to maintain the overall health and welfare of our neighbors with whom we make daily contact.

In concert with our community partners, the 9th Reconnaissance Wing Commander has also declared a public health emergency (PHE) in accordance with DoDI 6200.03 and AFI 10-2519.  This declaration will provide Beale AFB the tools necessary to protect our Airmen and their families and limit the spread of this virus.  I ask each of you to familiarize yourselves with the current HPCON and continue exercising those prescribed precautions.

9 RW/HQ will remain vigilant and coordinate our protective measures with public health and local agencies.  It is imperative that we all continue to exercise good hand-washing and hygiene practices.  Additionally, if you experience any symptoms of acute respiratory illness (fever, sore throat, cough), have recently traveled to (or through) an affected area (China, Iran, Italy, Japan and South Korea), or been in close contact with a positive COVID-19 patient, stay at home and immediately contact the public health department at (530) 634-4945.

Thank you for your diligence in keeping us safe and ready to execute our respective missions!
