Honoring those who served on Veterans Day Published Nov. 11, 2017 By Senior Airman Colville McFee 9th Reconnaissance Wing Public Affairs Beale Air Force Base -- Veterans Day is a day that allows men and woman across the U.S. and even around the world a chance to recognize and honor those men and women who served and are still serving in the Armed Forces."It's really gratifying that there is so much support for the veterans and the active duty members and it makes us feel proud to have served and see that people come together to honor our sacrifice and hard work." says Adam Garza, local resident and retired Vietnam Veteran.Airmen from Beale Air Force Base had the opportunity to come together with the help of local businesses, law enforcement, fire fighters, community groups and veterans to showcase a parade honoring veterans."This is such an amazing parade and I come out ever year to show my support." says Al Chagnon, local resident, "There are so many people from all over who have military backgrounds and family members in the military and to see people come together is a great thing."Every year residents come down to enjoy the Yuba/Sutter Veterans Day Parade in Marysville, California.
