CHIEF MASTER SGT. LESLIE N GOULD Chief Master Sergeant Gould is the Command Chief Master Sergeant for the 9th Reconnaissance Wing, which provides the nation's command authorities with high-altitude intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance capabilities and combat support forces for national and theater contingencies. He is the principal senior enlisted advisor to the wing commander on all issues regarding the health, morale, welfare, discipline, and readiness of 7,000 military, civilian, and contractor personnel. Chief Gould enlisted in the Air Force in 1988 as an air traffic control radar maintenance technician and also served as chief evaluation technician with Air Force Flight Standards Agency. In 1999, he cross-trained into computer programming, where he served as a computer programmer, flight chief, and operations superintendent. In 2004, Chief Gould augmented his leadership role by becoming a first sergeant. He has served at every level from the squadron to Headquarters Air Force and has deployed in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM.
