9th Medical Support Squadron

Mission:

Ready Medics supporting Team Beale’s Airmen and their families by promoting mental and physical readiness. Delivers comprehensive primary, pediatric, and specialty care, allergy/immunizations, ambulance, and ancillary operations. Provides a wide-range of administrative and logistical services supporting the MTF’s health care team and beneficiaries.  Offers highly-trained, motivated medics for world-wide operations, optimizing Team Beale’s Human Weapon System through Trusted Care.

FAMILY HEALTH CLINIC

The Family Health Clinic delivers comprehensive primary care services using the Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) team-based health care model for all ages. The dynamic team is composed of physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and medical technicians that employ a partnership between the patient and their health care team, focusing on preventative care, which optimizes wellness.

PEDIATRICS

The Pediatric Clinic delivers comprehensive services using the Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) team-based health care model from birth to 17 years old. The energetic team is comprised of pediatricians, a registered nurse and medical technicians dedicated to the health and welfare of children

WOMEN'S HEALTH

The clinic offers gynecological health care services to adolescents, adults, and geriatric women.

IMMUNIZATIONS

The Immunizations Clinic provides a full spectrum of vaccinations for all ages to active-duty personnel, retirees and military dependents. The clinic follows the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines for routine vaccine administration. Allergy testing and immunotherapy services are available by referral from the PCMH team.

 

Location: Take the ramp on your left as you enter the main entrance and pass the coffee shop. Immunizations will be on your left opposite Physical Therapy clinic.

DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING SERVICES (RADIOLOGY)

Diagnostic imaging services provides include routine plain film radiological examinations. All reports are interpreted off-site by Travis Air Force Base radiologists through a tele-radiology program that averages 24 to 72 hours receipt of results unless the provider determines a more urgent response is needed. While Beale Clinic imaging services are limited, the Diagnostic Imaging technicians are registered/accredited by the American College of Radiology.

LABORATORY

The laboratory is accredited by the College of American Pathologists. Limited laboratory services encompass most routine procedures used to treat a normal healthy population and most acute care scenarios. Many specialized tests can be performed through military reference laboratories; this averages seven to 10 days for receipt of results unless the provider determines a more urgent response is needed. TRICARE network laboratories are used when other limitations dictate (e.g., specimen viability, transportation time, etc.).

 

Location: Walk straight from the main entrance. Laboratory will be on the right next to the Pharmacy.

PHARMACY

Prescription ACTIVATION is required before new prescriptions will be processed. Text “Get in line” to 1-877-834-0036 or call 530-634-2941 (options 3-1) or check in at pharmacy lobby. Patients must have Pharmacy Lifetime Account to get medications – Contact Patient Administration in TOPA at 530-634-4001.

 

Additional Pharmacy Programs:

SICK (OTC): There is no class required for SICK program. Fill out form provided in the lobby and pharmacy will process it.

Birth Control: Walk-In encounter. If patient is PRP, they are not eligible or if they are flyers, call the pharmacy first.

Patient Advocate:

Each clinic at the 9 MDG has a Patient Advocate assigned to assist with any patient questions or concerns. If an issue is not answered satisfactorily by a clinic Patient Advocate, you may contact the 9 MDG Patient Advocate by phone or email.
