"...As long as my body continues to move, I will keep working and having fun..."

"When I was young I lived in San Bernardino, which was just south of Edwards Air Force Base. I would hear sonic booms and see contrails in the sky, this began to peak my interest in aviation. I later enlisted in the Air Force in August 1969. I served for 21 years, and I enjoyed every part of it. I was stationed here at Beale for more than half of that time, starting here in 1975 working on the SR-71 Blackbird, KC-135Q Stratotanker, and T-38A Talon. The military has been good to me; I've met a lot of great people and seen so many places. Now, as my family and I watch TV and see other countries or different parts of the states, I can tell them, 'I've been there.' I may retire soon, but as long as my body continues to move, I will keep working and having fun."
