Team Beale's 2013 annual award winners

BEALE AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. --  Team Beale held its annual award ceremony for 2013 at the community activity center on Feb. 7, 2014. Award winners were presented in front of a substantial crowd of family, friends and fellow Airmen.

Award winners were recognized for their outstanding work, dedication and volunteerism at Beale and the local community.

"Congratulations to all of Team Beale's award winners this evening," said Col. Phil Stewart, 9th Reconnaissance Wing commander. "Every recipient has dedicated countless hours to perfecting their craft, and they are truly the best of the best at what they do."

The winners will now be eligible to compete at the 12th Air Force level.

"Our award winners have exemplified the Air Force's core values and are beacons for continued success," Stewart said.

2013 Beale annual award winners
 
Airman of the year: 9th Reconnaissance Wing- Senior Airman Michaela thaxton, 9th Comptroller Squadron; Team Beale- Senior Airman Michaela thaxton, 9th Comptroller Squadron.

Non-commissioned officer: 9th Reconnaissance Wing- Tech. Sgt. John Brooks II, 9th Medical group; Team Beale- Tech. Sgt. Genevieve Blake, 940th Wing.

Senior non-commisssoned officer: 9th Reconnaissance Wing- Master Sgt. Lawrence Twitty, 9th Operations Group; Team Beale- Senior Master Sgt. Garry Richard 548th Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Group.

Company grade officer: 9th Reconnaissance Wing- Capt. Brian Wagner, Public Affairs; Team Beale- 1st Lt. Brian Murff, 548th Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Group.

Field grade officer: 9th Reconnaissance Wing- Lt. Col. David Nance, Wing plans and programs; Team Beale- Maj. Thomas Place, 548th Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Group.
