The 9th Security Forces Squadron is charged with defending 23,000 acres of Beale AFB, home to a Protection Level 1 US Space Force Upgraded Early Warning Radar, the preponderance of America’s U-2 fleet, the Common Mission Control Center, KC-135s assigned to the 940th Air Refueling Wing, and the 548th Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Group. Additionally, the unit conducts law enforcement operations, fields Military Working Dog Teams, and trains base personnel on small arms. Finally, the Defenders of the 9th Security Forces Squadron train and deploy to deliver combat capability to Combatant Commanders around the globe.
